NSTAMP & KAHSSO present Part 2 of our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Series, and we are excited for you to hear from our wonderful guest speakers, YU faculty Dhivya, Sawan, and Tara from the Student Counselling, Health & Well-Being department at York University as they educate us about the principles of anti-oppressive/anti-racist practice in healthcare settings! Our presenters will cover: The need for anti-oppressive practice in Canada’s health care system, what white privilege looks like in health care practice, understanding how power dynamics are played out between health care provider and patient, and how to start becoming an anti-oppressive health care provider.*Video does not need to be on for this event*
