MSF and SPIH York: Walk Without Borders Challenge

October 28, 2015 @ 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Roy McMurtry Green (between Osgoode Law School and Atkinson)

Come join Friends of MSF: York & YorkU Students for PIH for the 2015 Walk Without Borders Challenge & Strides For Solidarity!

The challenge will be in form of an obstacle course consisting of multiple stations each with a different challenge (e.g. carrying a heavy weight from one point to another or finding your way while blindfolded). One of the stations will feature a ‘simulated cholera treatment centre’ provided by MSF Canada.

The Walk Without Borders campaign aims at raising awareness and money for Doctors Without Borders (MSF). MSF actively provides health care and medical training to populations in more than 70 countries around the world – in particular those struggling to survive violence, epidemics, malnutrition, and natural disasters.

Strides For Solidarity is an event bringing together Partners in Health (PIH) supporters, in solidarity and celebration with the thousands of PIH community health workers, who walk great distances over rough terrain to reach people in need and bring much needed treatment and medications to remote locations.
