Dear Black and Indigenous Students of the Faculty of Health,

To prioritize issues of systemic racism within the Faculty of Health, Dean McDonald has tasked Co-Chairs Sean Hillier and Ann Pottinger with establishing the Faculty of Health Working Group on Individual and Systemic Racism with a Focus on Anti-Black and Anti-Indigenous Racism.

The Working Group will be delivering a final report, which will consist of recommendations to address racism within the Faculty of Health. To help inform this report, Co-chairs Sean Hillier and Ann Pottinger would like the opportunity to speak with you to hear your suggestions for actions that can be taken to improve the Faculty of Health based on your personal and professional experiences.

We are inviting you to attend a 1-hour open forum session for Black and Indigenous students only via Zoom on:

  • Black Students: Tuesday, June 29th at 1pm-2pm
  • Indigenous Students: Tuesday, June 29th at 11am-12pm

You will receive the Zoom information on the day of the session via email. If you can not attend this open forum, but would still like the opportunity to have your voice heard, please submit your ideas here. This survey can be confidential, if you do not wish to provide your identifying information. This survey will close on Friday, June 25th at 11:59pm.

Please feel free to share these links with anyone whose voice you feel should be heard. We look forward meeting with you.
