Stong and Calumet Colleges recruit many volunteers to help with our student success programs and special events. Our typical recruitment period is from January - March for the next upcoming academic year.

Currently, Stong and Calumet Colleges are inviting you to apply for a New Student Transition volunteer position this summer to help welcome new students to York University. We are looking for committed and enthusiastic students that will play an important leadership role during our orientation activities scheduled between September 2nd and September 7th.

Help new students experience a sense of welcome and belonging to York University, Stong and Calumet Colleges and their academic programs during the “Welcome Days”.

Stong and Calumet Colleges “New Student Transition” volunteers

The “New Student Transition” volunteers create a warm and welcoming environment for new students that are affiliated with Stong and Calumet Colleges. “New Student Transition” volunteers are upper year students who want to support new students as they begin their studies at York University.

How will you benefit:

  • Opportunity to interact with academic leaders, staff and peers
